Much like Amazon Freight and Uber Freight, Truck-Maxx is a freight broker, with great support and services for shippers and receivers. While a freight broker is an intermediary between a shipper who has goods to transport and a carrier who has capacity to move that freight, Truck-Maxx also focuses on the COO operation modality to help the driver, his truck, and his carrier succeed in transporting the freight. Truck-Maxx therefore helps support the most sustainable carrier operation modality by providing the necessary tools to help the carrier owner-operators (COO). This includes comprehensive technological and non-technological services to help their business success. Truck-Maxx also helps provide compliance and monitoring across the board, from freight pick-up and delivery, to truck and driver operation, DOT compliance and road safety, and timely completion of accounting, taxes and paperwork.
Truck-Maxx “Freight” (a full-service freight brokerage) –
Truck-Maxx App has a freight brokerage platform that facilitates bookings between shippers (that need to transport goods) and COOs who are available for loads. The business model of Truck-Maxx is based on the brokerage fees that are collected from the shippers. Shippers can leverage Truck-Maxx’s supply chain capabilities with dependability, tracking, visibility, and high performance. Truck-Maxx network runs 24/7, 365 days a year with built technology to ensure reliability and visibility from quote to payment.
Truck Maxx “COO” (a full suite of technology tools & supporting services for COO) –
State of the art app suite, to assist carrier owner-operators (COO) with comprehensive technological tools and non technological services to help their success, including:
COO Operation – Whether hauling freight for local, regional, or over the road, they log into the COOs’ side of the app or portal 24/7 to select their loads and view all associated details. From that point, the app will guide the driver through everything they need from appointment and instruction for pickup, to all details of the routes including route map, traffic, weather, to delivery appointment and instructions. While on the road, the app will guide the COOs through DOT driving and break requirements for these routes, and maintain their electronic-log (E-log). Once load is delivered, the app will provide an easy way for providing proof of delivery (POD), so that processing of payment can begin immediately. Following the completion of one load, the process of allocating the next load will start, according to available loads and COOs’ requirements.
Business & Paperwork – Truck-Maxx will help COOs with their business organization, legal forms, and paperwork for a fee.
Payment & Factoring – COOs’ pay after deductions will be directly deposited into their bank account, the Friday after the end of the work week. Since factoring is common in the trucking industry, as some COOs like to receive their money earlier and are willing to pay a 3% to 5% fee, Truck-Maxx will offer factoring for 3%.
Accounting & Taxes – Truck-Maxx will have all payments, deductions, and expenses available and organized for COOs, and at tax times, COOs can download a file for their CPA in order to file taxes.
Renewals & Reminders – Truck-Maxx will help COOs complete all necessary renewal forms as needed, for a fee, as well as provide reminders for renewal of driver’s license, endorsements, etc.
Truck-Maxx Device – This device is plugged into the diagnostic port of the truck, and communicates with the driver’s cell phone via bluetooth. It will provide all the essential tools, including GPS, mapping, Elog, and other driving needs. This device also monitors driving habits and patterns, will be used to enforce DOT rules, help COOs with maintenance and troubleshooting, and determine truck and freight insurance rates and eligibility.
DOT Inspections & Compliance – The most feared event of truck operation is DOT violations and inspections. By keeping the truck and driver DOT parameters organized and readily available, COOs can maintain compliance and submit to any requested DOT inspections at a moment’s notice. This can be done for a fee.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting – The average truck life is a million miles, and to get the longest life out of a truck, it needs a good maintenance program. Truck-Maxx helps COOs keep their trucks well maintained by providing maintenance records and reminders. Since Truck-Maxx is plugged into the truck’s diagnostic port, it will also provide assistance with troubleshooting, potential issues, suggested solutions, needed actions and suggested places for repair, if needed. This can be done for a fee.
Other COO Benefits – Truck-Maxx will have a list of providers that offer discounted services for COOs and their trucks, including fuel and tires, scheduled maintenance, towing and repairs, mobile devices and plans, showers and meals, etc.
Truck-Maxx “Onboarding” (help new COOs get started) –
Truck-Maxx will have onboarding services for COO, including help drivers purchase a truck and insurance, as well as help establish a new carrier authority.
DOT Carrier Authority – Truck-Maxx will help new operators with good driving and DOT record to establish a new carrier authority if necessary. This includes a new O/O who needs a carrier authority to become a COO, and a driver who needs a carrier authority and a truck to become a COO. This onboarding service will help drivers and O/O to become a COO by registering their FMCSA, in order to obtain their USDOT number and MC number in order to operate on our roadways. This can be done by Truck-Maxx or through a reputable third party for a fee.
Truck Ownership – Truck-Maxx can help a drivers find a suitable vendor to purchase a good truck, which is necessary for the success of their operation. For a COO or an O/O who already has a good truck, this service is not needed. Truck-Maxx can partner with a third party like Ryder, Penske, or similar to buy a truck, lease a truck, or lease to purchase option.
Insurance – Truck carrier insurance is one of the most difficult issues facing a COO, given the number of trucks on the road that are involved in accidents and fatalities. Since the onboarding process requires good driving and DOT record, Truck-Maxx will become self-insured and underwrite their own policies. Self-insured in this case means that Truck-Maxx works with one or more of the prominent freight insurance carriers to cover the first $25,000 in any incident. This in return will allow Truck-Maxx to underwrite their COOs with excellent driving and DOT records.
